I got this material in the Korean Teddy Bear Fair. It was love at first sight. The mohair is in short pile, distressed as a door mat, giving a home-coming feeling. I use contrasting long and wavy mohair like a luxurious collar.

Mat, bet you realize how he got this name, is a 6-joint bear. He is very much a grown up with intelligent corner eyes, sunk deeply inside the eye socket. I did some facial sculpting to give him a centre seam and protruded forehead. He is heavy and very huggable.
