May 5th is a special order. Friends who had visited my web site know that I like happy colours but this is the first time that I tried hand dyeing mohair myself. Last year I took a short vegetable dyeing course in Kyoto. It was fun. You can get plants right from the field in front as ingredients for mixing beautiful colour. (But chemical dye is used for May 5th. I cannot get natural material here.)

The course was conducted in a traditional Japanese house. The environment is so fresh and relaxing. I wish I could spend more time on it. It is a pity we do not have that pace of life in Hong Kong.
