| Old friends may remember our
Nurse Helene.
After she immigrated to USA last year, it took us quite some time to recruit
a new nurse. The applicant were so shocked to know that old bears could
be that badly hurt. One even fainted when I showed her a picture of a
bear with one arm and no eyes. Nurse Meg is very young but she is brave
enough to take up the challenge. Her shy and gentle smile is a real comfort
to the patients. After seeing the movie 'Patch Adams', she got a smart
idea of bringing her childhood hand puppet to cheer them up. It is amusing
to find that no matter how old the bears are, they love jokes and stories.
Now there is no more sad faces in the ward. |
