| This is the type of bear that
I always have in mind. One that look like a real bear with features just
symbolic enough to remind of his origin, not a pure imitation of an animal.
I would like him to have the wit of human being with understanding eyes.
After all the most important character of a teddy bear is a companion
and I wish my bears to be hugged instead of staying behind the glass doors
for appreciation. He shall be able to sit or stand like a buddy (especially
when you need someone to watch TV with you) as well as stand on all four
like his wild life friends. There are toes and pads as soft 'flesh' on
palms and feet for added details. All the Merry Bears have three toes
on each palm or foot since three is my lucky number. I use excelsior for
a stronger nose which is painted in white wash and shaded like a real
bear.
Though I made open month before, I like my bear to be not so talkative. A gentle and shy smile is good enough. I called him the quiet listener, leaving his new caretaker to name him. He is considered one of a kind though some more will be made in this pattern and material. But there will be some minor changes to make each one unique. |
